Albert "Mellor"'s Story

Born and raised in Catonsville. Lived at 201 S. Hilltop Rd (the Hilltop Rd out by the Candle lite Inn Restaurant on Frederick Rd). Lived there from 1947 till Oct. 1962. Went to Catonsville Elem., Jr. and Sr. High. But, in Oct. 1962 , as a result of a Custody battle between my divorced parents, I was forced to transfer out to Lansdowne Sr. High. That's the school I actually graduated from in 1965. But, I still considered myself a "Catonian" at heart. Went in the Navy in 1965 on the USS Coral Sea CVA43 aircraft carrier. One tour in Vietnam , out in 1968. Got a job with Citibank; got married; got my Business Degree from Towson State; got divorced; got married again!!; left Citibank after a 20 year career in Collections Mgmt & Financial and Operational Auditing;. Started my own business; got divorced!!; and, being a glutten for punishment, got married again !!!(anybody see a pattern developing here?). Well, after 23 years, I'm still married to the same wife. Process Service). I'm they guy who knocks on the door & serves the court summons. Kind of like the IRS. You know they're out there, you just hope they never come knocking on your door!! I live in Essex now. Why I didn't stay in Catonsville, I don't know. Now, after 53 years, I've been wondering what ever happened to all the kids I grew up with for 9 years & 2 months of my school life. I'vel lost touch with everybody. And, I'm curious now if it's possible to re-construct those memories. I'd like to hear from anybody who remembers me from back then. I was the "back woods kid". Spent alot of time, literally,in the woods. Maybe somebody will remember the kid who brought the big Racoon to Catonsville Jr. High for a Nature Project (probably in the 7th grade). Well, the Racoon chewed thru his cage one night & was loose "somewhere" in the school. I got in a little trouble for that one. All the school custodians refused to to work at night till Animal Control came out & searched the entire school. Just let me know if you remember.

January 23, 2016 5:15pm. Our back deck. 24" on top the table & 3+ feet on the deck. Not supposed to stop till 10pm tonight!! Planning a "Sunday Snow Shoveling Party". Have 5 jars of homemade moonshine I've been saving. By

Sunday morning, 1/24/16. Now, what do you do? Open the door & hope 3' of snow doesn't fall in on your living room floor. Or, go out the basement door then, have to shovel your way up 13 deck steps to move it !?
Had to stack up 4 cushions so our cat could look out our living room doors.
Was taken Sat. night 1/23/16 @ 8:45pm, right after the snow stopped.

Snow pile at the end of our court, 1/25/16. That no parking sign in the middle of the pile, at the top, is on a hill and stands about 10 feet tall from the parking lot level!
